well the articles thing died but every time we talk on facebook we have educated/joke-filled conversations about the nhl
what if we just posted those conversations?
it would be like a written podcast

and way less work than researching for an article
and way more fun, considering we do it every time we talk
plus in this conversation i've realized one of the things that makes our conversations great is your appreciation of my disdain for shitty canadian teams
would make for some controversial conversations
i actually find i have the best conversations about hockey with Wings fans...I know two others that it goes the exact same way...they dog the Flames, I defend them, they somewhat agree with parts of what I say, they dog them some more, haha
i think i know why that is
you know lots about hockey, so you're good to talk to
and red wings fans are obviously the smartest, since they are fans of the only team worth cheering for

the one thing i wish is that detroit would get more canadians on the team. even just as spokespeople for the team, and so i could choose a canadian red wing as my favorite player
they just need to continue to develop young goaltenders like Howard...it is very possible they may lose him, but if they can pay their top stars unreal coin, and get by with young goalies making 1-2 million, then they'll continue to be successful in the Datsyuk/Zetterberg era

i think one of the reasons why rick nash is my favorite player is because until recently columbus has never been a threat
i can't have, say, marleau as a favorite because they are a rival to the wings
and that's for the fans to relate to the team again...detroit actually doesnt do very well for home attendance

most people would say that interviews don't matter in hockey, but you and I both know it's all about how you represent yourself to your fan base and how they respond to your success or lack of....the irony is a team like Toronto would actually probably benefit if they stopped talking to the media
